Terms of Service

UPDATED 1 JULY 2026

On 1 July 2026, we're rolling out an updated version of our Terms of Service. These changes support new functionality for our clients and reinforce how we operate: securely, transparently, and in line with the regulations that govern crypto and payments. Here's a plain-language summary of what's new.

Custodial wallets, through a regulated partner

We're introducing access to custodial wallets, opened and managed by our regulated partner Bridge, which holds the assets as custodian. Localbridge stays exactly what it has always been, a technical bridge between fiat and stablecoins, and never takes custody of your funds itself. For now, custodial wallets are available to eligible clients in the markets we serve, with the exception of clients resident in the EEA, which we plan to address separately.

Built on a MiCA-compliant foundation

Bridge complies with the EU's Markets in Crypto-Assets Regulation (MiCA), whose framework applies from 1 July 2026. Working through a MiCA-compliant partner gives our clients a more durable, regulation-ready foundation for moving money.

Travel Rule: standard data, handled responsibly

Like every compliant provider, we and Bridge collect and share basic identifying information about the sender and recipient of a transfer when the law requires it, the so-called "Travel Rule." We only collect what's necessary, and we share it only with regulated counterparties and authorities to meet these obligations.

Stronger security with SCA

We've implemented Strong Customer Authentication (SCA), verifying your identity with at least two independent factors when you sign in and authorize key actions. It's a meaningful upgrade in protecting your account and your transactions.

What you should do

Take a moment to review the updated Terms at localbridge.com/terms, and make sure your authentication is set up. There's nothing else you need to do. Continued use of Localbridge on or after 1 July 2026 means you accept the updated Terms.
