Exchange rates
Localbridge charges the on/off-ramp fee above and nothing else. When a transaction changes currency — euros arriving as USDC, or USDC paid out as Mexican pesos — it is executed at the live exchange rate of our infrastructure partner, Bridge. That rate includes a conversion spread of typically between 0.5% and 0.75% (50–75 bps) over the mid-market rate. The exact spread depends on the currency pair.
- The spread is built into the exchange rate. It is not a separate line on your receipt and it is not a Localbridge fee: Localbridge does not set it, does not add to it, and does not receive any part of it.
- No spread applies when the currency does not change: US dollars to USDC, or euros to EURC.
