Payouts work the same way in every currency:
Fiat payouts always go to a bank account. Your Localbridge balance is held in stablecoins — receiving details cannot hold a fiat balance.
Balances are held in stablecoins. You can convert between currencies through stablecoin routes. Localbridge does not charge a separate conversion fee; when the currency changes, our partner's exchange rate applies — see Exchange rates and conversion spread below.
In the European Economic Area, balances can be held in USDC and EURC only.
Some operations change currency: a euro payment that settles as USDC, a USDC balance paid out to a Mexican bank account, or a conversion between USDC and EURC. These conversions are executed by our infrastructure partner, Bridge, and the liquidity providers it works with, at the live exchange rate of the moment.
The rate includes a conversion spread
Bridge applies a spread over the mid-market rate. Across the currencies we support it is between 0.5% and 0.75% (50–75 basis points) depending on the currency, and Bridge's own fee disclosure caps it at 1% of the amount converted. The exact spread depends on the currency pair and can change with market conditions.
Who charges it
The spread is applied by Bridge and its liquidity partners as part of executing the exchange. It is not a Localbridge fee: Localbridge does not set it, does not add a margin to it, and does not receive any part of it. Localbridge's own fees are only the percentages listed on the pricing page.
How you see it
The spread is built into the exchange rate rather than shown as a separate charge. For operations you initiate in Localbridge, such as a payout or a conversion, we show you the indicative rate and the amount you will receive before you confirm. Incoming payments are initiated by the sender outside Localbridge: the conversion happens when the money arrives, so the rate and the resulting amount are visible only afterwards, on the receipt. In both cases the receipt shows the rate actually applied. Rates are refreshed continuously and are not locked before execution, so the executed rate can differ slightly from an indicative one.

Conversions between two non-dollar currencies (for example euros received and pesos paid out) go through a US-dollar stablecoin and therefore involve two conversions, one on receipt and one on payout, each with its own spread — and each leg is charged your plan's on/off-ramp fee.
Example: your employer pays €2,000 salary into your EUR account, converted to USDC. Localbridge charges its 1.5% on/off-ramp fee on €2,000. The remaining €1,970 is converted at the live EUR/USD rate, which includes the partner's spread of around 0.5%. The executed rate appears on your receipt.

Every individual completes KYC identity verification before transacting.
Transaction limits depend on your verification tier. Basic verification covers everyday amounts; a full ID verification raises them. Your exact limits are shown during onboarding and in your account.
Individual accounts are available to people aged 18 or over in most countries; the supported-country list is confirmed during signup.
Individual accounts are for personal use only: receiving your salary, freelance income, or marketplace earnings, and managing your own money. Commercial activity — selling goods or services, invoicing customers, or processing payments for others — requires a Business plan.
The fees for your plan are listed on the pricing page. Blockchain gas fees may vary by network and may be charged separately. Currency conversions are executed at our partner's exchange rate, which includes a conversion spread — see Exchange rates and conversion spread above.
Payment services are provided together with licensed infrastructure partners. Payment rails, limits, and availability are set by these partners and may change. Exact transaction limits are shown during onboarding and in your account. This page is a product summary — the legally binding rules are in the Terms of Service.
